Hello my sweet sinners, today I will be sharing with you my experience with the L’oreal Pure Clay Mask.
But first Happy New Year! I wish you all the best in 2017. We finally said farewell to 2016, which to be honest was terrible year for me. I hope 2016 was good to you and more awesome things will happen to you in 2017.
Moving on to the review, I got this L’Oreal Purify & Mattify Treatment Mask as a Christmas gift and after trying it I just couldn’t wait to share with you my opinion on it.
The L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask contains 3 pure clays and Eucalyptus. The tag states is suitable for all skin types and it lasts for 10 applications. L’oreal Paris website states that the mask is for oily and shiny skin. This made me quite nervous to use it, because of my sensitive and dry skin.
L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask – First impressions
When you open the jar the first things you notice are the consistency and the scent. The consistency is creamy and almost pasty like. It has very nice and calming scent of Eucalyptus.
The L’Oreal Purify & Mattify Treatment Mask is cold to the touch when applying, which soothes skin and reduces the pores. Depending on your skin needs you can apply it all over you face or only on the T-zone. Avoid eye and lip area. I recommend applying it with a brush as things can get messy. This way you will keep your mask germ free. You should let it dry for 5 to 10 minutes. These are the tag application instructions, the website states 10 to 15 minutes. When dry the mask feels very tight. After it dries completely, remove with warm water.
*Tip – what I like to do is to remove the mask first with wet cotton pads and then wash my face with warm water.
The skin feels matt, smooth and fresh. Your complexion is brighter, the pores are clean and reduced.
For even better results I recommend before applying the mask to wash your face with your favourite washing gel in combination with cleansing brush. This will open up your pores and the mask will be able to clean them deeper and help you reduce black heads.
I definitely recommend this mask, but I think it will work better if you use a cleansing brush before applying the mask. Even though I didn’t feel my skin irritated or dry after using the mask, I still followed up with a deep nourishing cream.
To be completely honest I was quite sceptical about this mask, because usually L’oreal skin care products have always been irritating to my extremely sensitive skin. The L’oreal Pure Clay Mask was a pleasant surprise!
I hope you liked the review!
Love you! Bye, xoxo
